Into the darkness once again.

Although I'm not typically a fantasy fan, I tend to lean towards sci-fi, I fell in love with Demon's Souls when it came out in the States a couple years back. It is and remains one of my favorite console games. It incorporated novel multi-player gameplay and what has come to be known as a difficulty level for veteran video gamers. Accolades aside, the story and visual style developed for Demon's Souls elicited real feelings of fright and fear in most players. Even after playing the game multiple times there are still some levels that creep me out.

That was evidently going to happen with Demon's Souls, especially after it attracted so much interest in the USA. Luckily for me and fans of the game it was in fact the case that a sequel would be developed. It is nearly ready for American shores and I'm getting that giddy feeling that you usually associate with unwrapping a birthday present. Below is a first glimpse of that anticipated sequel once known as "Project Dark", now properly titled "Dark Souls". I'm excited from what I've seen. It may look like more of the same, but I trust that the developer From Software has innovated enough to make it an original. I hope...
